Greater Toronto Area Real Estate Market Stats
The latest numbers for the GTA housing market, region by region and city by city. Updated monthly from the Toronto Regional Real Estate Board (TRREB).
What this means for you
- Buyers have more leverage. With 26,000+ active listings, 4.6 months of inventory and a sales-to-new-listings ratio of 37.8%, buyers have choice and room to negotiate.
- Prices are softer than last year. The average GTA price is down 5.1% and the benchmark price is down 4.7% year over year, across every major home type.
- Sellers need the right strategy. Homes are taking about a month to sell and closing at roughly 98% of asking, so pricing and presentation matter more than ever.
